The Knights of Columbus St. Thomas Council sponsored a Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest for the St. Thomas School students. The essay contest was open to sixth thru eighth graders. Martin M. McKeon, Director of Professional Development & Mentoring, at St. Thomas School coordinated the essay contest.

The St. Thomas and Springvale Councils put on a Memorial Mass at 4:00 am at Holy Family Church in Sanford, Maine to honor 31 Brother Knights who had passed away over the past two years.

This month’s Knight of the Month award goes to Terry Sylvanus. According to Dennis Breton, Terry had helped him many times during his tenure as Grand Knight from 2021 to 2023. Terry was a Grand Knight from 2019 to 2021

Our March 2023 Knight of the Month began his journey in the Knights of Columbus in 2009.

St. Thomas Council awards Knight of the Month for July 2023 to Gerard Nulton, who had reactivated his membership in the Knights of Columbus in April 2022. At that time, he took his second and third degree to become a full-fledged knight in the St. Thomas Council. On May 20th, Gerry took his Fourth Degree at an Exemplification sponsored by the W. Robert Bachelder 4th Degree Assembly.

St. Thomas Council awards Knight of the Month for June 2023 to Paul Toth, who has been a knight in the St. Thomas Council for the past 18 years.

It’s Summer, the Sanford Mainers are back in town and the St. Thomas Council is once again working the concession at Goodall Park.
